What Are Your Favorite Christmas Books?

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!       Christmas books can be whimsical, touching, or down-right hysterical. Whatever Christmas book that you love to read, we can all agree that they make the holidays a lot brighter.   Here are my favorite books that I pull out every Christmas:   How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Suess-  This childhood classic never gets old. I always love reading this tale of grinch in need of Christmas cheer. Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark mysteries-  this mother-daughter collaboration has been a holiday staple for mystery fans for decades. They two authors crossover their popular detectives to create a whimsical and adventurous tale with every book. Dashing Through the Snow is my favorite so far. Free Christmas E-books books-  this has been a tradition of mine for a few years. Kindle offers Christmas themed books for free every year. From young adult to romanc...

2021 Reading Goals: The Results

Image
Happy Holidays, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   I believe 2021 would be a return to normality for me. I was determined to read more and to set goals. I was determined to keep myself accountable. I would take some of last year's failed attempts and add some good juju. I was ready to set my goals list. How well did I do? Let's find out...  2021 Bookish Reading Goals Tab all books that I read with removable flags:  This did not happen. I began to sell off my book collection to downsize my possessions. I switched to digital versions, instead. Click here to buy some books from my eBay Store.    Alphabetize To Be Read pile:  I had great expectations for this. However, that is easily done on my Kindle. Sell off books that I no longer want:  This became a great way to clear out unread books. My eBay Store has plenty to choose from. Read more contemporary:  This never happened, mainly due to my ongoing research for my ...

2021, You Have Gone Fast!

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!    January to now has been a crazy ride. I have gone from reading all the time to researching and writing most of the time. But I would not trade it for anything. The process of writing a novel is a fun and often frustrating endeavor. It takes a lot of time alone to present the narrative as best as you can. I have done my best to travel and take time away from my book. Many of my author friends recommend this. It helps to return to the editing with fresh eyes.     My novel's first draft is being edited. I am happy with what I have seen and excited to share my story with everyone. I will be holding Beta Reading soon and look forward to the feedback.      Have fun reading this week. Let me know in the comments below what you are reading this week.       Also please follow me on my  social media platforms  and enjoy shopping with me at eBay and Mercari.   SOCIAL MED...

Book Review Rewind: Fool Me Once by Harlan Coben

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   Thrillers have been my favorite genre for decades. Sooner or later my older purchases get buried among the new, shiny books. I finally read this suspenseful novel a few years ago and  I was very happy that I chose to read it   Fool Me Once is written by Harlan Coben, and it is published by Dutton Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House. In this tense and often nail-biting thriller we are introduced to Military Captain Maya Stern. Stern has just lost her husband to murder, and the family of Joe Burkett just wants what's best for Maya and Joe's two-year-old daughter, Lily. Her nanny is even the daughter of Joe's nanny. The Burketts wealth is evident in Maya's life right down to her beautiful home. But Maya wishes only to mourn Joe and take care of Lily when she is not working. Maya does not like the "rich thing", and cares nothing for the Burkett fortune, even signing a prenuptial agreement. ...
