Book Tag Top Three: My Top Love Stories and Couples in Books

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons, My Favorite Love Stories and/or Couples of All-Time 1.                 Ciena Ree and Thane Kyrell - Disney-Lucasfilm's new Star Wars canon has introduced some amazing characters. But in last year's Lost Stars by Claudia Gray, we were introduced to a tragic love story in the form of two Imperial recruits who are divided when one of them defects to the Rebellion. Ciena and Thane will go down in Star Wars history as two of the most determined lovers in the galaxy. Often heartbreaking, their story spans through the original trilogies and after. This made for an epic novel that had me reading into the night. 2.               Father Ralph de Bricassart and Meghann Cleary - Forbidden love is the premise of Colleen McCollough's Thorn Birds. Written in 1977, this story spans over decades ...

Nostalgia Base- Galaxy Files: Princess Leia Organa (Possible Spoilers)

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,   Princess Leia Organa. No matter what medium you are aware of her from, she has been a household name for over forty years. This Galactic Senator from Alderaan paved the way for the downfall of the Empire. Over a decade later she delayed the First Order's arrival by six years by destroying their base on Sibensko. She is the twin sister of Jedi Knight, Luke Skywalker; wife to Han Solo; and mother to the Ben Solo, who became the malevolent Kylo Ren of the First Order. She never backs down and is one step ahead of her enemies. Her stare can silence a Wookie. And her compassion for her people always leads her to victory.      Now, using the current canon books and various media, it is time for me to share with you what I have discovered about the galaxy's most famous princess. Regardless of whether you may agree or not, this analysis is meant to be a fun way to speculate and celebrate o...

Retro Tuesday Talks: Author Collaborations

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   Tuesday Talks is a wonderful group on Goodreads that is a weekly discussion forum created by BookTubers Janie Johnson and her pal, Janelle. It is a fun and active group to be a part of.  Unfortunately this group's weekly topic ended in 2017. I would like to carry on this tradition by stepping back in time to answer those weeks that I did not.      This week's retro-question is:   What authors you would like to see co-write a book together? There are so many awesome authors out there that meet this subject's requirements. But I decided to stay on target with a certain subject: Star Wars.   In the newest cannon by Disney-Lucasfilm we have seen many writers display their love for the galaxy far, far away with stellar books. These books not only flesh out the universe, but pay homage to one of the most beloved franchises. Two writers I would love to see co-write a Star Wars book tog...
