Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!    Just when you thought it was safe to venture back into the Burg, Stephanie Plum is once again neck-deep in the proverbial poop. She is watching a famous musician, babysitting a crabby teenager, and may or may not be attending the wedding of Lula.       Fearless Fourteen is written by Janet Evanovich and is published by St. Martins Press. In this zany tale of kidnapping and larceny, Stephanie Plum must once again prove her worth as a fearless bounty hunter. Problem is, she is not anywhere close to being that. We begin with one of Stephanie's bond skippers getting ready to commit suicide. After having second thoughts of death, Loretta Rizzi agrees to go with Stephanie to be re-bonded. One problem, Loretta's son, Zook, will be alone while she is in jail. Luckily for Zook, Stephanie is easily coerced into taking care of the teen. Soon she has Loretta re-bonded and in jail for the time ...

My Favorite Suspense Authors

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   When it comes to suspense what authors do you recommend to other readers? Here is my list of go-to authors: 1.    Mary Higgins Clark-  I was introduced to Clark when I was in high school. The first book I read from her was the Cradle Will Fall. This book was the first to hook me on suspense. I remember being engrossed in it that I was reading it during math class (that really got me in trouble). I look forward to reading this book again as an adult. Mary Higgins Clark recently passed. She will be missed. 2. Tami Hoag-  I have loved the Kovac and Liska crime thrillers from Tami Hoag. Her stories are contained, but she manages to stretch certain plots into other books. Just recently her serial killer, Doc Holiday, was featured in the 1st Victim and the  9th Girl . This lead into  Cold Cold Heart , continuing survivor Dana Nolan's story after days of torture at Holiday'...

Hello, Fellow  Book Worms and Book Dragons !   Tuesday Talks is an wonderful group on Goodreads that is a weekly discussion forum created by BookTubers Janie Johnson and her pal, Janelle. It is a fun and active group to be a part of.  Unfortunately this group's weekly topic ended in 2017. I would like to carry on this tradition by stepping back in time to answer those weeks that I did not, as well as adding a few of my own.       This week's question is:    What is your favorite author's best novel?   I have a few authors that I love to read, which means of course I have to list them all... Jackie Collins- I would have to say that Chances is my favorite novel of Jackie's. Not only does it introduce readers to Lucky Santangelo, but it is a sweeping novel that is an epic view of one family over generations. I am looking to re-read this one after many years. Lisa Gardner- I have just begun to read her books, but so far I l...
