Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   Finding a quiet book to settle down with and lose yourself is never a bad thing to do. Sometimes my crime thriller and horror reading needs a break. I need a cozy mystery to enjoy. Recently my library offered the audio books from the Irish Village series by Carlene O'Connor. I checked out the first three and began my journey. What I discovered was an exciting mystery with just enough intrigue to give me that break from the more gruesome reads . Plus with a cover that I wanted to climb into and live, I knew I had chosen wisely.   Murder in an Irish Village is book one of Carlene O'Connor's Irish Murder mystery series. The paperback edition that I read was published by Kensington Books. In this delightful whodunit we are introduced to the O'Sullivan Six. Lead by Siobhan, the clan of six siblings co-run an Irish b istro in the town of Kilbane in County Cork, Ireland. After a year without their parents, who were kil

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   For the past year I have been reading every Lisa Gardner novel I could get my hands on. In my efforts I have visited book fairs, book shops, and libraries . R ecently I was blessed with a n advanced copy of her latest, Never Tell , from the publisher. Her blend of family dram a, mystery, and suspense have made her one of my top five authors to read. I managed to track down one of her older novels and was quickly p ulled in .   The Other Daughter is a sta n d-alone novel written by Lisa Gardner. The paperback edition I read is published by Bantam Books, an impri n t of Penguin Random House P ublishing. In it we are introduced to the Stokes family. Having suffered the tragic loss of their four year old daughter, Meagan, to child murderer Russell Lee Holmes, parents Harper and P atricia are devastated . They continue on with their remaining child, Brian, and await the execution of Holmes . Five years later on the nigh t of

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   The Hollywood Biography. A place where the rich and famous settle down near the end of their career and tell all to the public. I have read memoirs and biographies from legends such as Carol Burnett and Carrie Fisher in the past couple of years and I have to say I loved the books immensely. To settle down and read about a celebrity's life and immerse myself into their lifestyle is eye-opening and often some stories resonate with me. Lately I have started reading faux biographies and they have both come from the same author. With Daisy Jones & the Six , author Taylor Jenkins Read told the fictional story of a rock band in the 1970s. I loved it so much that I wanted to read more of her work.     The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is written by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It is published by Atria Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. In this star-studded biography we meet Evelyn Hugo, star of the silver screen in the golden
