I enjoy how every week this group brings the book community together. Great fun!   This week's question asks: What are your Top 5 Book Trends You're Tired Of ?     I nstant Romance- This drives me crazy. If a char acter meets a character in chapter three they should not be married by chapter five. Real life does not play out that way. Stereotyped Characters- Girls who are in need of saving. Manly men saving the day. Gay characters p ortrayed as week and unable to defend themselves. And elderly cha racters who cannot take care of everyday needs. Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons !   I am playing catch- up with Tuesday Talks, a wonderful group on Goodreads that is a weekly discussion forum created by BookTubers Janie Johnson and her pal, Janelle. I have been away from posting for a while , and now it is time to return to the fun .    This question is from February 14 : What is more important, c haracters or p lot?     I believe that both the plot and the characters can be essential to any book succeeding. They tend to balance one another out . When choosing a book I tend to gravitate to a plot that I believe will be entertaining. This will not always be a good thing, as some authors may have a good idea for a plot, but poorly execute the idea . But if I get a book with a plot that turns out to be boring rather than entertaining, I will look to the established characters for guid ance through the book. Even if a plot is lacking, a well-written char acter may be what the book need...

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   And once again the time has come for DC Comics to make a clean sweep of their universe and start anew. But what makes DC Rebirth different from Crisis, Infinite Crisis, Flashpoint, Zero Hour, and the multiple other "reboots"? Apparently they are listening to their audience, and working to bring back the DC Universe we knew and loved from the 1970s through the 1990s. And this week we will be introduced to yet again another incarnation of our favorite titles with Rebirth #1. I have high hopes for this new relaunch. Time will tell. Here are my pics for Wednesday, May 25, 2016: Boom Studios Joyride #2 Its an intergalactic trip to the mall when Uma and crew find a treasure on their ship. What could possibly go wrong? Writer: Jackson Lanzing   Art: Marcus To   Cover: Marcus To     $3.99 Steven Universe and the Crystal Gems The journey continues for Steven...
