Writing a Novel...Be Back Soon...

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,    When it comes to my blog, I am happy to share my thoughts about books. Writing book reviews is always a fun activity of mine. But every now and then I have to step back from my blog to make progress on my own novel .   Since 2019, I have been hard at work crafting my debut novel. It has been a wonderful and often scary experience, but I am excited for all of you to read it. I have begun the ending of the novel. It has been an enlightening experience to read other thrillers and see how some of their endings are either rushed or fall apart. I am doing my best to deliver to readers an exciting and satisfying finale.    In the meantime, please peruse my past blog posts and reviews and enjoy my recommendations. This blog has been with me since 2015 and is also a labor of love.   More to come!      Let me know in the comments below what you are reading.     If you wish to dona...

The Update: What I Have Been Doing

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!    January 2020 started out hopeful. We even had a decent February and beginning to our March. Then, our lives changed for the better part of a year. I stayed in quite a lot and in doing so, I began to rapidly start to finish the novel I have been writing. Isolation and the ability to work solely on my book gave the venture a new purpose. I developed my characters further and extended the story outward.  Now I am going through my 400 plus page manuscript and fine-tuning the narrative.    They say the next step of any avid reader is to become an author.    I look forward to having the world read my work. I am not a patient person, but with this, I have to be. More news to come.   I will be adding past reviews in my Book Review Rewind series. This will give new readers a chance to view my reviews. I am also reading, which will give you all new reviews.       Have fun reading this ...

Book Review Rewind: The Night Window by Dean Koontz

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   To say that I have enjoyed the Jane Hawk series is an understatement. Every book had left me exhilarated and with such excitement that I immediately went to the next book to see what would happen. Dean Koontz has taken the crime thriller and turned it upside down. Espionage, secret societies, rogue FBI agents, and adrenaline-fired action have left me breathless. I have recommended every book to my readers and to friends and family. Back in 2019, I was fortunate enough to receive an early copy thanks to Netgalley, and Penguin Random House. After four books, I was treated to a finale unlike any that I could have ever expected.    The Night Window is written by Dean Koontz, and it is published by Bantam Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House. In this final installment of the widely popular thriller series, Jane Hawk is closer to her goal and ready to strike. After narrowly escaping the cabal known as the Techno...

Book Review Rewind: The Forbidden Door by Dean Koontz

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!     With her husband killed by a secret society bent on ruling the country, Jane Hawk is on the run. She has been demonized by her adversaries and they have threatened her young child. But this "rogue" FBI agent is many steps ahead of them, as she gathers evidence to bring them down. It is a nail-biting roller-coaster ride of a series that came to an end in book five in May 2019. It is a series every crime thriller reader should experience. With that being said, let us delve into book four of this series.   The Forbidden Door is written by Dean Koontz. It is published by Bantam Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House Publishing. In this fourth installment of the widely popular crime thriller series, Jane Hawk is left with a disturbing scenario. After she survives her deadly battle with Booth Hend...

Book Review Rewind: The Crooked Staircase by Dean Koontz

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   Jane Hawk was introduced to me in the novella  the Bone Farm . From there I went on to read  the Silent Corner  and The Whispering Room. I became that reader that needed to keep going with this series because I knew that they would keep getting better and better. This adventure-espionage series has taken me on a roller coaster ride that I am not too eager to step off.      The Crooked Staircase is the third full-length Jane Hawk novel by Dean Koontz. It is published by Bantam Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House. As we careen off the cliff of the second book's revelations, Jane Hawk is on the trail of Booth Hendrickson, another Techno Arcadian hell-bent on controlling the country. Through injections, the Arcadians have devised a control mechanism that takes over its host once the self-assembling technology forms a web over the victim's brain. Through keywords, the adjuste...
