Tuesday Talks- How Many Genres Do You Read?

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons !   Tuesday Talks is an wonderful group on Goodreads that is a weekly discussion forum created by BookTubers Janie Johnson and her pal, Janelle. It is a fun and active group to be a part of.    This week's question is: Do you only read one genre or do you read several?     When it comes to r eading books I will often grow tired of a genre. That is why when I read several books at once, I choose different genres to keep the reading going. I am currently reading two comic book trade paperbacks , one myster y , one horror, and one cozy mystery. It has broken up the feel of the books, which makes reading more enjoyable. I will read books that can be intense. When something disturbing or there is a character passing, I can take a break by opening another genre.   Reading multip le books is not for everyone, but I love it. One story that was surprising ly   riveting   was the   Final Days of Superman .     This story ran   in single issue form in   A ction Comics   #51-52,   B atman/Superman   #31-32,   Superman/Wonder Woman   #28-29, and   S uperman   #51-52.    All chapters were   written by Peter Tomasi and drawn by Mikel Janin, Ed Benes , Paul Pelletier, and Doug Ma hn ke .   As   the   story begins   we see a Man of Steel who has fought many battles and has faced   many odds. After a series of tests he knows that he   is now dying.   Kal-El is not preoccupied about his mortality, but what his leaving will do to those he loves . He also worries about   what will happen to the world when i

But one thing that Rebirth did was   the   unthinkable: they killed Superman...again... but this time he w ould not be resurrected .   Back in the 199 2   Superman #75   was on e of the   best-selling comic books of all-time when it featured   the   death of Superman.   Battling a monster , named Doomsday,   the Man of Steel   combat ed   the deadly creature to save   Metropolis from destruction   and   the   life of   his love, Lois Lane . After defeating   Doomsday, Superman lay dead in Lois' arms. The issue was presented by Dan Jurgens and Brett Breeding.   But   despite negative feedback, Superman remained de ceased   for several months. During th is time   several beings claiming to   be   the   next Man of Steel arrived in   the   for
