My New Year's Book Tag

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,          Happy New Year!    Yesterday, I posted my New Year's Book Tag. I hope you share your answers and share this tag with your besties. The rule is easy, only choose books you read in January each year.   With my choices, I ventured to the years that I read the most. Any of my reviews are linked to each title. Happy New Year Book Tag: A book that scared you- Burnt Offerings by Robert Morasco (this novel is creepy and in many cases made me cold. This is one haunted house romp that will stick with me for a long time.) A book with a cover that did not match the interior- Takedown Twenty by Janet Evanovich (this cover offered nothing to the storyline. It was plain and featured no signs of what this book was about.) A book so good you read it in a day- The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (this Twin Peaks tie-in was re-released on audiobook and read by the actress who brought Palmer to life, Sheryl...

Book Review Buzz Words

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!     I am the type of reader that loves buzz words. Haha, who am I kidding, I choose books with pretty covers, as well. The buzz words that I look for in a book are: 1.                 First-time author (I love the feeling of discovering new authors) 2.               New series (a new series from a favorite author is filled with possibilities. If I have enjoyed a past series from an author, then I will definitely buy the first book of a new series) 3.               New York Times Best-Selling (yes, guilty as charged. If I see this on a book's cover I will automatically want to read it. I figure if they are on that best-seller list, then they must be awesome) 4.         ...

Book Tag Top Three: My Top Love Stories and Couples in Books

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons, My Favorite Love Stories and/or Couples of All-Time 1.                 Ciena Ree and Thane Kyrell - Disney-Lucasfilm's new Star Wars canon has introduced some amazing characters. But in last year's Lost Stars by Claudia Gray, we were introduced to a tragic love story in the form of two Imperial recruits who are divided when one of them defects to the Rebellion. Ciena and Thane will go down in Star Wars history as two of the most determined lovers in the galaxy. Often heartbreaking, their story spans through the original trilogies and after. This made for an epic novel that had me reading into the night. 2.               Father Ralph de Bricassart and Meghann Cleary - Forbidden love is the premise of Colleen McCollough's Thorn Birds. Written in 1977, this story spans over decades ...

Winter Storm Book Tag: 2020 Edition

Image
Hello, Fellow  Book Worms and Book Dragons !   The weather outside is frightful for us in the North East lately, so I thought a Winter Storm Book Tag was in order. When weather like this arrives I like to curl up with a few books, a warm blanket, and lots of coffee and cocoa.     Snuggle in and have fun with this, and tag a friend who would love to join in. Also if you have a Vlog, please feel free to make a video and show what books match this tag.   Here we go in no particular order. Any books mentioned that I have reviewed will have a link to that review attached to the book's title:          WINTER STORM BOOK TAG Blizzard: A book with a cover as white as snow- Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid has white on its cover. This is definitely a book to curl up with. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll in the era of Fleetwood Mac and the Rolling Stones. Told through interviews and new...
