Book Review Rewind: The Crooked Staircase by Dean Koontz

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   Jane Hawk was introduced to me in the novella  the Bone Farm . From there I went on to read  the Silent Corner  and The Whispering Room. I became that reader that needed to keep going with this series because I knew that they would keep getting better and better. This adventure-espionage series has taken me on a roller coaster ride that I am not too eager to step off.      The Crooked Staircase is the third full-length Jane Hawk novel by Dean Koontz. It is published by Bantam Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House. As we careen off the cliff of the second book's revelations, Jane Hawk is on the trail of Booth Hendrickson, another Techno Arcadian hell-bent on controlling the country. Through injections, the Arcadians have devised a control mechanism that takes over its host once the self-assembling technology forms a web over the victim's brain. Through keywords, the adjuste...

Audiobook Review Rewind: The Bone Farm by Dean Koontz

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!     The crime thriller has always been a favorite genre of mine. I love to pick up a suspenseful novel and settle into the experience and drama of a good cop novel. While I was searching for a new book to round out my reading to ten books for January 2019, I noticed that Dean Koontz was featuring a short work with his character Jane Hawk for free on audiobook. I could not resist. And I was happy that I read this exciting case file and went on to read the entire series in just a few months.     The Bone Farm is written by Dean Koontz and acts as a prelude to his Jane Hawk series of books. It is presented on audiobook by Brilliance Audio and is read by Elisabeth Rodgers and James Anderson Foster. In it, we go back in time two years to Jane Hawk's earlier days in the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She and her partner, Gary Burkett, are on the trail of a serial killer known as the Mother Hater. With each abduc...
