2021 Reading Goals: The Results

Happy Holidays, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!

I believe 2021 would be a return to normality for me. I was determined to read more and to set goals. I was determined to keep myself accountable. I would take some of last year's failed attempts and add some good juju. I was ready to set my goals list. How well did I do? Let's find out...

2021 Bookish Reading Goals

  1. Tab all books that I read with removable flags: This did not happen. I began to sell off my book collection to downsize my possessions. I switched to digital versions, instead. Click here to buy some books from my eBay Store.
  2. Alphabetize To Be Read pile: I had great expectations for this. However, that is easily done on my Kindle.
  3. Sell off books that I no longer want: This became a great way to clear out unread books. My eBay Store has plenty to choose from.
  4. Read more contemporary: This never happened, mainly due to my ongoing research for my debut novel.
  5. Take a break from reading: I nailed this one. I did a lot of writing and promoting my debut novel.
  6. Change out genres: I did this in a major way this year, trading in fiction for non-fiction. Criminal Justice textbooks, biographies from Forensic Anthropologists, and police training manuals.
  7. Finally, read some of the comics I keep buying: I enjoyed a few series, including Nocterra, Red Mother, and various superhero comics
My 2021 was a year of discovery. I traveled to the West Coast for research and a family reunion. I attended four pop culture conventions. I secluded myself away writing my novel. And I did hours of research. I only wish I had devoted more time to this blog. But my novel took the number one writing spot in my life.

Up next I will be reviewing some past novels I re-read, writing my 2022 Book Challenge, and wrapping up 2021 here. Thank you all for your continued support.

Have fun reading this week. Let me know in the comments below what you are reading this week.

Also please follow me on my social media platforms and enjoy shopping with me at eBay and Mercari. I have also set up three funds to help me move forward in self-publishing my book. Any help would be most appreciated.
