What Fictional Characters Would You Invite to a New Year's Eve Party?

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,      What are your Top 5 Fictional Characters that you would invite to a New Year's Eve Party? Here are my choices: Ellen Ripley from Alien: Into the Shadows-  Inviting Ripley to your party would be a wise move. She would be awesome security. Rubeus Hagrid from Harry Potter-  Lovable Hagrid would be fun to have around for New Year's. Just have enough food.  Lucky Santagelo from the Chances Series-  Keep an eye on your man with Lucky around. She may be happily married, but some men do not care about that fact. Besides, Lucky would be a blast to ring in the new year with!  Tony Stark from Iron Man-  Self-absorbed, yes. Rich, definitely. But having this billionaire around would definitely be wise, especially if he pays for most of the party. Avengers assemble to party all night! Selina Kyle from Batman-  This cuddly cat burglar knows how to party. But just watch your valuables. They may end up going home with this Catwoman.     Have

Book Review Rewind: Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,     Feel the beat of the bass. Feel the pavement under your feet as you raise your hands above your head and jump to the music. A concert experience is a visceral event in the lives of music fans. And no matter what concert you attend, everyone there is experiencing the rhythms in their own unique way. What is the true story behind the musicians on the stage? What leads to the very song that you are now singing at the top of your lungs? The rock documentary and the rock biography have given us an inside view behind  the  scenes. But what happens if an author decides to create a rock documentary in novel form about a  fictitious  band. Would that be as exciting as the real thing? The answer is a resounding... YES.    Daisy  Jones  & the Six is written by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It is published by Ballantine Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House. In it, we are introduced to Daisy Jones, a tall, red-haired beauty that lives by her own rule

Book Review Rewind: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,     The Hollywood Biography. A place where the rich and famous settle down near the end of their career and write a tell-all to the public. I have read memoirs and biographies of legends such as Carol Burnett and Carrie Fisher in the past couple of years and I have to say I loved the books immensely. To settle down and read about a celebrity's life and immerse me in their lifestyle is eye-opening and often some stories resonate with me. But to read a biography of a fake celebrity intrigues me all the more.        The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is written by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It is published by Atria Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. In this star-studded biography, we meet Evelyn Hugo, a star of the silver screen in the golden age of Hollywood. Infamously known for marrying seven times, she is loved worldwide for her often daring and controversial work and glamorous lifestyle. Hugo, now almost eighty years old, is ready to
