2021 Reading Goals: The Results

Image
Happy Holidays, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   I believe 2021 would be a return to normality for me. I was determined to read more and to set goals. I was determined to keep myself accountable. I would take some of last year's failed attempts and add some good juju. I was ready to set my goals list. How well did I do? Let's find out...  2021 Bookish Reading Goals Tab all books that I read with removable flags:  This did not happen. I began to sell off my book collection to downsize my possessions. I switched to digital versions, instead. Click here to buy some books from my eBay Store.    Alphabetize To Be Read pile:  I had great expectations for this. However, that is easily done on my Kindle. Sell off books that I no longer want:  This became a great way to clear out unread books. My eBay Store has plenty to choose from. Read more contemporary:  This never happened, mainly due to my ongoing research for my ...

2021, You Have Gone Fast!

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!    January to now has been a crazy ride. I have gone from reading all the time to researching and writing most of the time. But I would not trade it for anything. The process of writing a novel is a fun and often frustrating endeavor. It takes a lot of time alone to present the narrative as best as you can. I have done my best to travel and take time away from my book. Many of my author friends recommend this. It helps to return to the editing with fresh eyes.     My novel's first draft is being edited. I am happy with what I have seen and excited to share my story with everyone. I will be holding Beta Reading soon and look forward to the feedback.      Have fun reading this week. Let me know in the comments below what you are reading this week.       Also please follow me on my  social media platforms  and enjoy shopping with me at eBay and Mercari.   SOCIAL MED...

My Favorite Thrillers: Deeper Than the Dead by Tami Hoag

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   Tami Hoag has written two of my favorite novels,  9th Girl  and  Cold Cold Heart . I have recommended both suspense novels to all of my readers, friends, and family. There is a certain thrill that comes from a Tami Hoag novel. Once she draws you in with her dynamic narrative, she has a hold of you for many hours. I have lost sleep, forgot appointments, and ignored phone calls when reading her works. This time was no different.    Deeper Than the Dead is the first novel in Tami Hoag’s Oak Knoll trilogy. It is published by Penguin Random House under their Dutton Books imprint. The year is 1985, criminal investigations are aided by tape recorders, fingerprint dusting, and fax machines. U nder Sheriff Cal Dixon , the small department of Oak Knoll, California, does its best to keep the peace. But it is Detective Tony Mendez that knows that the future of law enforcement is changing. His mentor, Vince Leone, is ...
