Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   Star Wars: the Rise of Skywalker is set to release in December of this year. As a fan of the galaxy far, far away, I am always looking for new canon books to fuel my knowledge and excitement. With Princess Leia I have discovered that she has a lot of stories that have yet to be told. In my Galaxy File analysis of Princess Leia I began to add elements from this novel, as well as other resources. Please feel free to check it out after reading this review.     Leia: Princess of Alderaan is written by Claudia Gray and was released as part of the "Journey to the Last Jedi" campaign before that film's release. It is published by Disney-Lucasfilm Press, an imprint of Disney Books. In this middle-grade adventure we are introduced to a sixteen year old Leia Organa. She is approaching her Day of Demand, where she will claim her right as heir to the Throne of Alderaan. She is enlisted in the junior legislator program...

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   Star Wars has lasted over 40 years and has brought together fans world-wide to book stores, conventions, toy stores, and theaters. When the latest episode arrived in theaters it was met with mixed reviews. It seemed that fans were divided as to whether director Rian Johnson's vision had either made the franchise better or had destroyed it. This was met with concern by many. But when Disney-Lucasfilm decided that they would leave the novelization release until March 2018 fans wondered if they had heard their concerns. They have.   Spoilers ahead.     Star Wars: the Last Jedi is written by Jason Fry and is published by Penguin Random House under their Del Rey Books imprint. It is written with insight from director Rian Johnson, and it features information that was left out of the theatrical release. It ties together many aspects of Disney-Lucasfilm's new canon material from the animated s...

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   Tuesday Talks is a wonderful group on Goodreads that is a weekly discussion forum created by BookTubers Janie Johnson and her pal, Janelle. It is a fun and active group to be a part of.  Unfortunately this group's weekly topic ended in 2017. I would like to carry on this tradition by stepping back in time to answer those weeks that I did not.      This week's retro-question is:   What authors you would like to see co-write a book together? There are so many awesome authors out there that meet this subject's requirements. But I decided to stay on target with a certain subject: Star Wars.   In the newest cannon by Disney-Lucasfilm we have seen many writers display their love for the galaxy far, far away with stellar books. These books not only flesh out the universe, but pay homage to one of the most beloved franchises. Two writers I would love to see co-write a Star Wars book tog...

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,       Darth Vader. His name instills fear and loathing throughout the galaxy. He is a cunning leader, smart military strategist, and one of the most powerful Sith Lords the galaxy has ever known. Once the Jedi Anakin Skywalker, Vader joined Emperor Palpatine in a quest to destroy democracy throughout the galaxy, and deliver in its place tyranny. As the Jedi died and worlds were conquered, Vader stayed in the spotlight, but secretly sought to gain the Imperial forces for his own. Using his rage and deadly skills, Darth Vader would cut a bloody path through countless systems until that fateful day over the forest moon of Endor.     Now, using the current canon books and various media, it is time for me to share with you what I have discovered about the galaxy's most infamous Sith Lord. I will be focusing on Vader after his battle with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar.    Regardless o...
