Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!     April was a different reading month for me with fifteen books taken off of my reading list. With Star Wars Celebration fueling my Star Wars fandom again, I read a lot of canon trade paperbacks . But the novels that I did read were excellent and filled with mystery and suspense . And thanks to Peng uin Random House I was able to read the final novel in the Jane Hawk series early. All-in-all a terrific month for reading.   I am looking forward to see what May brings my way. Book fairs, new book shops to explore, and new releases. Who knows what exciting reads I may find .    I will be a part of June's Blog Tour for the novel the Path Keeper by N.J. Simmonds, so make sure you visit me here on the Xepherus Reads Bog for my review of th e first book in th e new Indigo Chronicles fantasy series .  Books I read in April (in alphabetical order. Any reviews are highlighted): Birds of Prey, Vol III: Full Circle by Julie Bens

Book Review: Dangerous Minds by Janet Evanovich

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   For the past few years I have loved Janet Evanovich's cozy mysteries. They are loaded with humor, adventure, and the occasional whack-a-doodle character that makes you shake your head. Her novels are a great way to end a reading slump, and can often be read in one sitting. At the beginning of the month I read Curious Minds , the new series starring eccentric millionaire Emerson Knight and his assistant, Riley Moon. It was a crazy and fun adventure that kept my attention for the entire book. Now I end April with the second book in the series.      Dangerous Minds is written by Janet Evanovich and is published by Bantam Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House. In this new adventure Buddhist monk Wayan Bagus  has a dilemma: the island that he has been living on has disappeared. The little man explains to Emerson Knight and Riley Moon that he was drugged, kidnapped, and when he woke up, his home had vanished. The eccentric bil

Book Review: Run Away by Harlan Coben

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!     The crime thriller is my favorite genre to enjoy. I have made my way through many amazing reads, but one author has stood out to me since last year: Harlan Coben. I read his novel Fool Me Once in September of 2018, and was thoroughly impressed by his writing and the book's overall mystery and suspense. Recently I was given the privilege of reading Coben's latest thriller early thanks to Harlan Coben, Netgalley and Hachette Book Group. What I discovered was a mystery that I was reading well into the night to solve the puzzle.    Run Away is written by Harlan Coben and is published by Grand Central Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group. In this taut and exciting novel we are introduced to Simon Greene, loving father of three and husband to pediatrician, Dr. Ingrid Greene. His youngest, Anya, lives with the Greenes, while middle child, Sam, attends college a few states away. But it is his oldest, Pai

Book Review: The Night Window by Dean Koontz

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   To say that I have enjoyed the Jane Hawk series is an understatement. Every book has left me exhilarated and with such excitement that I immediately went to the next book to see what would happen. Dean Koontz has taken the crime thriller and turned it upside down. Espionage, secret societies, rogue FBI agents, and adrenaline-fired action have left me breathless. I have recommended every book to my readers and to friends and family. Now the series wraps up on May 14, 2019. I was fortunate enough to receive an early copy thanks to Dean Koontz, Netgalley, and Penguin Random House. After all this time I was treated to a finale unlike any that I could have ever expected.    The Night Window is written by Dean Koontz, and it is published by Bantam Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House. In this final installment of the widely popular thriller series, Jane Hawk is closer to her goal and ready to strike. After narrowly escaping the c
