Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons !   To many Harry P otter was their childhood; a n amazing series of magical books that captured the imagination. I was not a child when the series was released , but ne vertheless I have loved the Harry Potter franchise through film and merchan dis ing. Beginning in 2016 I decided to read the Harry Potter Series for the first time and I was not sure what to expect. The movies were amazing and I have watched them numerous times. I am one to always say that a book is better than the film, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone proved that to me. As wonderful as the movie is , the original sour ce material was definitely filled with more adventure . I have wanted to cont inue reading the series, and now I have finished book two.   Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is written by J.K. Rowling, and is published by Arthur A. Levine books, an imprint of Scholastic Books. Harry Potter is back at 4 Priv et Drive...

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,   My Reading Challenge is nearing its end, and now I begin to focus on those books that I have not finished. I will also be creating my next Reading Challenge that will begin September 1, 2016. This will be posted on that date.   The next book that I decided to remove from my To Be Read pile was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which falls under the "Read a book from your childhood" category. I remember loving the movie starring Gene Wilder when I was a kid, and how I had read the book a few years later in elementary school. I am happy that I took the time to revisit this delightful and whimsical tale.   Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is written by Roald Dahl and was first published in 1964. It tells the tale of a boy, named Charlie Bucket. He and his family are desperately poor and live in a broken down home. Charlie is always dreaming a better life, but with finances bei...

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   I t is time for another Tuesday Talks question !   For those of you who are not famil iar with this Goodreads group: we meet every week and share our answers to the   questions presented to us by Janie Johnson and her fellow Youtuber fri end, Janelle. It is a fun and very diverse group, that never ceases to make me add new reads to my to be read list!    This week's answer comes in late due to my schedule . But, here is my answer to this week's question: Have you ever met your favorite author ? I f so did it change the way you thought about books ? I did not meet my choice for this question, but I did receive correspondence via mail at a an age that made an impact.   When I was nine years old I was a huge fan of L ois Lowry. I loved her books, and wanted to let her know. I wrote to her in my handwritten , elementary school writin g (on paper... yes, we did that in the eighties), and se...
