Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!     May was a fantastic month for books. I read many amazing novels that were filled with twists and shocking finales. In June I expect even more new reads to enjoy. This week I will be in attendance at BookCon in New York City. I always look forward to this event and what new reads I find. It is also great to spend the day with thousands of readers celebrating the written word. And meeting authors and publishing reps with their amazing array of ARCs and new titles gets me excited for opening up another great read.    I will also be a part of June's Blog Tour for the novel the Path Keeper by N.J. Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   From my point of view things can only get better for my reading year. I am excited about the amazing books that I have read so far in 2019. And the excite ment continues. I read the novel Don't Say a Word and fell in love with the amazing relationship between f oster mom Bitty Callahan and her daughter, Allie . They had been t hrough a lot and their devotion to each other was inspirational . What I did not know was that Jennifer Jaynes had written two other novels prior to Don't Say a Word featuring Allie and Bi tty. I read book one, Never Smile at Strangers and now, on to book two.     Ugly Young Thing is book two in Jen nifer Jaynes' Strangers trilogy. It is published by Thomas and Mercer, an Amazon imprint. In t his novel of suspense we return to Grand Tres pass , Louisiana and the life of Allie Seacrest. After returning from being on the run for the better part of a year, Allie has no where to go or no one

Book Review: The Night Before by Wendy Walker

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   Emma in the Night was a favorite novel of mine in 2017. I gave it five stars and was genuinely excited to read another of Wendy Walker's novels. Last week while visiting my favorite bookshop I was handed her latest novel by an eager bookseller that highly recommended it.    The Night Before is Wendy Walker's third suspense novel , and it is published by S t. Martin's Press . We are introduced to Laura Lochner , a tragic woman who has carried the terrifying vision of her high school boyfriend's murder. Many believed that she had killed Mitch Adler due to the fact that she was found standing over his body with a baseball bat. Eleven years later Laura has a successful job on Wall Street in New York City, and she is dating a wonderful man that truly loves her. But one day she receives a text from her current beau st a ting he never wants to see her again . Devastated she moves back to Connecticut, into her sis

Book Review: The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   For the past few years I have been obsessed with thrillers. The twistier the better. As I began to expand my reading horizons I settled on the crime thriller. But as a student of Psychology, I will always have a special place in my heart for the psychological thriller. With the Silent Patient I was treated to one of the best thrillers that I have read this year.   The Silent Patient is Alex Michaelides' debut novel, and i t is published by Celadon Books. In this tense and shocking thriller we are introduced to the Grove, a large psychiatric hospital home to many patients, some of notoriety . Within its walls lives a silent patient, named Alicia Berenson. After being convicted of murdering her husband, Alicia was remanded to the hospital's care. There she has lived a reticent life for many years, baffling psychiatrists. She is said to be dangerous and prone to attacking p eople . These are the qualities that psycho
