Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,   Pressing forward through the galaxy, the Imperial forces of Emperor Palpatine shifted control of many worlds to their empire. Iden Versio was born into the Empire and she saw first-hand the dicipline and order that they brought to countless worlds. Her command of Inferno Squad le d her and her forces into many battles. But her faith in the Empire began to waiver . A nd when Palpatine p osthumously ordered the Imperial R emnant to enact Operation : Cinder, he chose her homeworld of Vardos as one of his targets. Rather than watch her innocent home suffer, Iden fought back and eventually joined the Rebellion . Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,   Princess Leia Organa. No matter what medium you are aware of her from, she has been a household name for over forty years. This Galactic Senator from Alderaan paved the way for the downfall of the Empire. Over a decade later she delayed the First Order's arrival by six years by destroying their base on Sibensko. She is the twin sister of Jedi Knight, Luke Skywalker; wife to Han Solo; and mother to the Ben Solo, the malevolent Kylo Ren of the First Order. She never backs down and is one step ahead of her enemies. Her stare can silence a Wookie. Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons !   T his past December Carrie Fisher left this world to be one with the Force. This news was person ally devastati ng to me not only as a Star Wa rs fan, but as someone who has used Carrie's example of strength to further deal with my own bouts of depression. W ith every audio book I listened to with her narration, I felt that I was sitting down with an old friend.   I was to meet Carrie at a New York Com ic Con signing this past October. I was very excited, but unf ortunately life played through and  I was un able to meet her while in New York.  As disappointing as this news was, I had figured that I would be able to see her again in 2017 . Sadly I was wrong. But had I met her I would have told her that not only did her portrayal of Princess Leia enrich my childhood .
