Book Review: Tricky Twenty-Two by Janet Evanovich

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   To say that Stephanie Plum has been put through hell on a regular basis by Janet Evanovich would be the understatement of the decade. Car bombings, poisonings, apartment destruction, being stalked by killers, and even tumbling down the stairs attached to criminal is only a handful of examples. Just when you think that the Trenton, New Jersey bounty hunter has seen it all, Evanovich cracks a smile and shows us she is not done with her popular character just yet.       Tricky Twenty- Two is written by Janet Evanovich and is the twenty-sixth book in her popular series. It is published by Penguin Random House under their Bantam Books imprint. In it we see that Stephanie Plums is still surviving her day-to-day bounty-hunting gig at her cousin, Vinny's, bail bonds office. And to join her in her misery are Lula and Connie. Lula is a former prostitute befriended by Stephanie whom she had managed to get a job with Vinny.

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   My reading has continued to be excellent for this year. In total for 2018 I have read 25 books. Thankfully I have chosen wisely and the books I have read have averaged a 3 1/2 to 5 star rating. Of course I continued with the crime thriller and fantasy books, which have evened out my reading experience nicely. I even threw in a hilarious children's book for good measure. April sees an ambitious TBR ahead, but I have confidence that April will be an awesome reading month.  Here is my final list of books read in March. Reviews are linked to each title: 1.     Catch Me by Lisa Gardner 2.   Killman Creek by Rachel Caine 3.   Star Wars: The Last Jedi Expanded Edition by Jason Fry 4.   The Stranger Inside by Jennifer Jaynes 5.     The 7th Month by Lisa Gardner 6.   Too Many Carrots by Katy Hudson 7.    Tricky Twenty-Two by Janet Evanovich Here is my April TBR: 1.     Children of Blood and Bone by Tom

Book Review: Catch Me by Lisa Gardner

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons !   Time goes by and authors will write novels that either continue a favorite character's story, or they will create new characters. But what happens when a writer takes all of their characters from various books and has them all working together?  You get the tense thriller, Catch Me.    Catch Me is written by Lisa Gardner and is the sixth novel in her best-selling detective D.D. Warren series. It is published by Penguin Random House under their Dutton Books imprint. In this rapid-fire crime thriller, Gardner brings all hands on deck to help solve a murder that has yet to be committed.   One night in upstate New York eight year old Charlene Grant killed her mother in self defense. She and her sister had suffered years of abuse and psychological terror from their mother. And on that night Charlene emerged the only survivor of her household. Her aunt came for her shortly after and brought her to New Hampshire to her inn

Book Review: The 7th Month by Lisa Gardner

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   Taking a break from crime thrillers can be hard to do. And when it comes to Lisa Gardner I have quickly learned how addicting her writing can be. That is why I chose to continue to read her Detective D.D. Warren series as my next book. I loved 3 Truths and a Lie , Find Her and Look For Me , and decided to step back in time to read one of D.D.'s earlier cases.       The 7th Month is written by Lisa Gardner and is published by Penguin Random House under their Dutton Books imprint. Featured as a digital short novel, it takes place before her sixth D.D. Warren novel, Catch Me. In it we are introduced to D.D. Warren: Desk Duty Sergeant. In her seventh month of pregnancy, D.D. has been sent to desk duty as a way of keeping her active on the force (and getting her out of the way, as most of her male colleagues think a pregnant woman should be).    One afternoon she is serving desk duty as a fill-in for the
