Bookish Resolutions 2017- The First Two Months

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!

Why do we hold ourselves to New Year's Resolutions? Is it because we feel that if we say it, we will achieve them?  Whatever the reason may be, sometimes resolutions actually do work.

With that being said, let's see how I have been doing in 2017 thus far. On January 3 of this year the Goodreads group, Tuesday Talks, had a question: "What are your bookish resolutions?" Here are my answers with their updates:

2017 Bookish Resolutions

  1.  Read no more than 3 books at a time- I actually have only managed this if two of the books are comic books. My month-long reading slump did not help this at all. But I have been lately motivated to read, which makes me excited.
  2. Get more books and book markers- This has not been difficult, since publishers have flooded the market with amazing books. I have snapped up many new hardcovers. As for bookmarks, the collection is growing and is now housed in a ceramic mug in the shape of an owl.
  3. Stock up on tea and coffee- I live near the Simpson and Vail tea company and I have invested in many delicious teas. The process of sitting down with a yummy tea has been soothing and very conducive of reading. I highly recommend their Literary Teas. They are fun tributes to famous authors.
  4. Add more pillows to my reading nook- I have added more blankets. This Winter has been chilly. As for pillows, I am always on the look out for big, squishy pillows.
  5. Use the 50 plus audio books from Audible that I have been hoarding away- I started this off with teh late Carrie Fisher's the Princess Diarist. What a fun book. I am almost done.

Have fun reading this week. Let me know in the comments below what you are reading.

Also please follow me on my social media platforms, and enjoy shopping with me at eBay and the Book Depository. I am also looking for contributions to open my business. Please visit my GoFundMe page if you wish to help me out.

Because there is always time to read,
