The Thrifty Book Buyer Special Report: Barnes and Noble Settlement Credits

SPECIAL REPORT

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!

Just recently I received an email stating that I may have a credit in my  Barnes and Noble account. This credit was part of a settlement with Apple, Inc. involving the price of ebooks. If you purchased ebooks between April 1, 2010 and May 21, 2012 you may eligible for a credit to be applied to your account. This is listed with your gift cards section of your account.

Barnes and Noble will be issuing emails that have a unique barcode and your settlement amount. Look for the header Your eBook Settlement Credit Is Ready to Spend to be be sent if you received a credit due to the settlement. This barcode is printable and may be used in store to buy anything at your local Barnes and Noble.

To access the amount details in your online account for online shopping do the following:

  1. Sign into your Barnes and Noble account
  2. Got to My account
  3. Click on Manage Account
  4. Go to Gift Cards
  5. Click on Manage Gift Cards & Credits for Nook Content
  6. Under Manage Your Gift Cards you will see your award settlement amount

When you shop on Barnes and Noble.com your settlement amount will automatically be chosen as the payment option.

With my settlement credit I was able to pick up eight books that I have wanted for a while. And with the code BNJUNE30 you can also receive 30% off your entire purchase, and shipping is free over a certain amount.

Utilize your credit to get a head start on your Summer Reading!
