My Book Blog 10 Year Anniversary - Some Stats

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,

   

   I decided to share my reading and writing journey ten years ago this November. Reaching millions of readers a year, this labor of love has brought me great joy. I also love to see how my writing has improved over the years. 

  Here are some fun stats for nearly a decade of blogging about books.


  • The first book I reviewed: Cold Cold Heart by Tami Hoag- this tense thriller follows a reporter who survived a serial killer returning to her hometown. There, she discovers that the disappearance from decades earlier may have been a murder. And the killer has her in his sight.
  • The last book I reviewed: The Sanitorium by Sarah Pearse- when an abandoned sanitorium is converted into a luxury hotel in the Swiss Alps, murder is not far behind. Stranded at the hotel in a blizzard, Detective Elin Warner must find a killer who is picking off patrons and staff at a rapid rate. The problem: the killer may be someone she trusts.
  • My most-read review: Wolfhunter River by Rachel Caine- this continuation of the Stillhouse Lake series was a favorite of mine. During the first week I published the review, I was contacted by Rachel Caine thanking me for the review. She also retweeted the review to her readers. She was a wonderful soul who left our world too soon. I will never forget our conversations. The series is now being continued by author Carrie Ryan. The Stillhouse Lake series is for you if you love a twisty horror-thriller series. 
  • My least-read review: Winter in Paradise by Elin Hildebrand- marital secrets and danger await Irene Steele as she heads to the US Virgin Islands. This was a fun read that is continued in two more novels. I changed my usual thriller and horror reads for this light romantic drama. 
  • A blog post that had the most views: The 2019 Xepherus Reads Reading Challenge grabbed everyone's attention. I am happy readers around the world enjoy my challenges every year. This year's Reading Challenge is up. Check it out and have fun.
  • My favorite 5-Star Read of 2015: Orhan's Inheritance by Alin Ohanesian- this sweeping historical fiction novel tells the story of one family from 1900 to the present. This was a gripping novel that was passionately written by the author. I loved every second of this story.
