My New Year's Book Tag

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,

   Happy New Year!

Yesterday, I posted my New Year's Book Tag. I hope you share your answers and share this tag with your besties. The rule is easy, only choose books you read in January each year.

With my choices, I ventured to the years that I read the most. Any of my reviews are linked to each title.

Happy New Year Book Tag:

  1. A book that scared you- Burnt Offerings by Robert Morasco (this novel is creepy and in many cases made me cold. This is one haunted house romp that will stick with me for a long time.)
  2. A book with a cover that did not match the interior-Takedown Twenty by Janet Evanovich (this cover offered nothing to the storyline. It was plain and featured no signs of what this book was about.)
  3. A book so good you read it in a day- The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (this Twin Peaks tie-in was re-released on audiobook and read by the actress who brought Palmer to life, Sheryl Lee. I loved this edition and the day went by quickly.)
  4. A book that stayed with you well into the year- The Outsider by Stephen King (this dark and often frightening crime thriller pits its protagonists against a shape-shifting serial killer. I thought about this book for most of the year  after reading it.)
  5. A book you recommended a lot to friends- My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix (this delightful horror-comedy made my Gen X heart full of 80s nostalgia. I had many discussions at bookshops with fellow readers who also loved it.)
