My Book Blog 10 Year Anniversary- Favorites

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,

I decided to share my reading and writing journey ten years ago this November. Reaching millions of readers a year, this labor of love has brought me great joy. I also love to see how my writing has improved over the years.

Here are some fun stats for nearly a decade of blogging about books.

  • My favorite thriller series: The Jane Hawk Series by Dean Koontz- spanning five novels, this series follows FBI Agent Jane Hawk. In a world where a shadow organization is silencing the progressive voices of the world, Jane cannot trust anyone. Part political thriller, part horror, this series is a wild ride that grabs the reader in a vice-grip and does not let go until the shocking finale in book five. The adventure begins in The Silent Corner.
  • My Favorite crime series: The Detective D.D. Warren series by Lisa Gardner- terrifying serial killers are D.D. Warren's specialty. But try being a mom and wife balancing the chaos while being pursued by the country's most dangerous offenders. Gardner has offered us one of the best detective series out there. I loved every entry in this series. My favorite was Catch Me, which featured all her characters from different series interacting with Warren to help her solve her case.
  • A series that always had me laughing: The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich- meet Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter extraordinaire with a habit of clumsily getting into trouble. With two hot love interests and an array of wacky characters, Plum is never lucky. However, my favorite of the series is the short novel, Plum Lucky.
  • The most intense book I read: to say that Lisa Gardner can write scary characters is an understatement. But no character I have read of hers is more terrifying than Mr. Dinchara from Say Goodbye. A serial killer with the attributes of a spider that cocoons his victims and hangs them upside down from trees is just the beginning of this thriller. Filled with tough topics, this novel was one I will never forget.
  • The craziest twist in a book I read: Believe Me by J.P. Delaney contained a plot twist I did not see coming. Rewritten from an earlier work, Delaney introduced us to an actress hired to help catch a serial killer. The problem is she may be falling for him. I loved the audiobook edition, which is presented with a large cast.
