Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   From the first day of this new year I vowed to read genres other than my normal thriller books. However, I still find myself gravitating to the dark and mysterious world of crime thrillers. What I discovered was a new author to me that I will most likely binge-read all of her titles this year.   The Shark is written by Mary Burton and is the first novel in her Forgotten Files series. It is published by Thomas and Mercer, an Amazon imprint. In this tense thriller we are introduced to the Shark. An aging serial killer who uses games of chance to find his victims. Many years ago a young socialite, Riley Tatum, escaped her abusive stepfather only to be drugged and delivered to one of his games. The stakes were simple: if the Shark won, the girl dies. Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!     May was a fantastic month for books. I read many amazing novels that were filled with twists and shocking finales. In June I expect even more new reads to enjoy. This week I will be in attendance at BookCon in New York City. I always look forward to this event and what new reads I find. It is also great to spend the day with thousands of readers celebrating the written word. And meeting authors and publishing reps with their amazing array of ARCs and new titles gets me excited for opening up another great read.    I will also be a part of June's Blog Tour for the novel the Path Keeper by N.J. Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   From my point of view things can only get better for my reading year. I am excited about the amazing books that I have read so far in 2019. And the excite ment continues. I read the novel Don't Say a Word and fell in love with the amazing relationship between f oster mom Bitty Callahan and her daughter, Allie . They had been t hrough a lot and their devotion to each other was inspirational . What I did not know was that Jennifer Jaynes had written two other novels prior to Don't Say a Word featuring Allie and Bi tty.
