October Wrap-Up and TBR Break

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,

    October was a busy month with comic con, travel, and some fun surprises. I also continued writing my second novel. And I watched the Carrie and Crystal Lake series, which I loved.

    Reading was mainly research, however I managed to fit in some novels and comics.

  Here are my results (reviews linked in title).

  4. The Story of Dracula, The Wolfman, and Frankenstein by Bernie Wrightson
 For the rest of the year I will not be choosing a TBR. This will help lessen the stress of the upcoming holiday season. I am curious to see where my reading journey takes me in November.

Reading Habits: Book/ Audiobook Combination

  Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,     I have been speaking with other readers about how they read. For some, they only read an e-book. For others an audio book on the way to work saves them time. But then there are readers like myself that take it a few steps further. I utilize many forms of reading when taking on a book. With my Goodreads and Xepherus Reads reading challenge s underway, I have found some great ways to keep on reading.   AUDIOBOOK/ BOOK COMBINATION-  I have trouble with reading from time to time. I will begin a paragraph, but then I veer off track and lose my place. This can sometimes keep me reading a page over and over. Therefore I use an audio book in conjunction with my physical book, so that I can read along with the words as the narrator presents the material. This is most helpful while reading my Kindle, which when paired up with audio book through their Whis...

Tuesday Talks- Do You Continue a Series That You Do Not Enjoy?

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   Tuesday Talks is a Goodreads Group serving the book community that is moderated by YouTubers, Janie Johnson and her book pal, Janelle. Check it out!    This week's Tuesday Talks question is:   If you do not enjoy the first book in a series do you still continue reading the series?   The answer to this question is yes and no. I have started many series that have bored me, but had likeable characters. With this type of book I have been patient. What I will do is wait for a month or so, and then I pick the series up again. Usually I do not have issues with continuing on. I also find that audiobooks help a great deal when continuing a series that I have issues with.
