Audiobook Review Rewind: The Bone Farm by Dean Koontz

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!     The crime thriller has always been a favorite genre of mine. I love to pick up a suspenseful novel and settle into the experience and drama of a good cop novel. While I was searching for a new book to round out my reading to ten books for January 2019, I noticed that Dean Koontz was featuring a short work with his character Jane Hawk for free on audiobook. I could not resist. And I was happy that I read this exciting case file and went on to read the entire series in just a few months.     The Bone Farm is written by Dean Koontz and acts as a prelude to his Jane Hawk series of books. It is presented on audiobook by Brilliance Audio and is read by Elisabeth Rodgers and James Anderson Foster. In it, we go back in time two years to Jane Hawk's earlier days in the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She and her partner, Gary Burkett, are on the trail of a serial killer known as the Mother Hater. With each abduc...

What 2021 Challenges Do You Hope to Participate In? 1.                 My 2021 Reading Challenge :  I started this challenge back in 2015 and have released a new one every New Year’s Eve since. I love posting a challenge category related to other events, such as the Goodreads Awards and the Great American Read event by PBS. It is a challenge that millions have taken and I am happy that my challenge has become as popular as it has. To the book community, I am grateful. 2.               Readathons:  I look forward to diving into the new reading challenges this year, like the TisT...

My 2021 Reading Goals

Image
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!   2021 for me is a way to return to normality, such as it was. I am determined to read more. I am determined to set goals. I am determined to keep myself accountable. In June of the year, I will revisit this list and see just how well I did. Taking some of last year's failed attempts and adding some 2021 good juju, I am ready to set my goals list.  2021 Bookish Reading Goals Tab all books that I read with removable flags:  This has been a proven success and I do not plan on stopping it.    Alphabetize To Be Read pile:  I have TBR piles everywhere. But this year I am going to create a special pile of books that I must get to in 2021. I often lose a book in the vast outer regions of my office. This will give me a fighting chance to keep focused on the books I want to read first. With a twist…alphabetized by author. Sell off books t...
