Tuesday Talks: Your Favorite Antagonists in Fiction

Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,

Tuesday Talks is a group on Goodreads that is a weekly discussion forum created by BookTubers Janie Johnson and her pal, Janelle. It is a very active group and is very fun to be a part of.

This week's question is: What are your favorite antagonists in fiction?

I have a three antagonists that I have enjoyed in the past year reading books. Janie will know what I am talking about with number one. They are:

  1. Rose the Hat- this psychic vampire and leader of the True Knot cut a bloody path through Stephen King's Doctor Sleep. Searching for those with dynamic psychic abilities, Rose encounters Abra Stone. This young girl has the Shining, and she becomes Rose's latest obsession. Traveling with the True Knot to Abra she encounters an adult Danny Torrance and the Ghosts of the Overlook Hotel. Sultry, terrifying, and cunning, Rose was my number one antagonist from the past year.
  2.  King Victor- this despotic ruler is the main antagonist of Kerry Wilkinson's Silver Blackthorn young adult series. He is cool and collected before his subjects, but within the walls of Windsor Castle he is cruel, evil, and a murderer. Calling young people from each part of the kingdom in a test called Reckoning, he chooses new workers to arrive at his castle. They are told that they will be integral in the running of the castle, and that they will learn new trades. This is true in part, but the "Offerings" are actually playthings and sacrifices to the King. Only one is strong enough to oppose him and lead a mass escape: Silver Blackthorn.
  3. Admiral Rae Sloane- this dynamic officer in the Galactic Empire has seen many battles. She has worked loyally for the Emperor without question. She has fought against Rebels lead, Kanan and has matched flight skills with star pilot, Norra Wexley. But after the Galactic War ceases, the Imperial Remnant has devised a plan to rebuild their empire into something greater. Standing by a mysterious high-ranking Imperial officer, Sloane is now one of the main antagonists of Chuck Wendig's Aftermath trilogy. Charismatic, daring, and a force to be reckoned with, Rae is one character to keep track of.

I look forward to reading everyone's answers. If you have a comment for me, please leave it below.
