Tuesday Talks: What Do You Think of a Very Long Series?
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons,
Tuesday Talks is a group on Goodreads that is a weekly discussion forum created by BookTubers Janie Johnson and her pal, Janelle. It is a fun and active group to be a part of.
This week's question is: What do you think of a very long series?
I have a always felt that if a book is good enough that it should go as long as an author can write it. Many books are just too good to be contained in one volume. For example, Harry Potter would have been a fun read with just one book. But we would always be wondering what had happened after Harry's first year at Hogwarts. J.K. Rowling managed to continue this series, each time adding more and more mythology and world building. We saw Harry and the gang grow up, fall in love, and marry with kids. All this was wonderfully presented to us. In a case like this I look forward to the next book in the series. It gives me joy to know that another book in my favorite series is about to be released. This is true for me with the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich. And the Kovac and Liska mystery series from Tami Hoag. As long as I like a group of characters you can make as many books as you want.
I look forward to reading everyone's answers. If you have a comment for me, please leave it below.
Because there is always time to read,
