The Perpetual Page Turner's Annual End Of Year Survey: 2019 Edition
Hello, Fellow Book Worms and Book Dragons!
In 2017 I found a fun survey that I found on the Perpetual Page Turner's blog. Since I love surveys I wanted to once again get in on the fun.
This one is a long one, but it helped me appreciate my reading year even more. I have also highlighted and linked any book that I have reviewed. Also, many of the books mentioned were not released in 2019 but read in 2019.

Your Bloggish/ Bookish Life
02) Favorite review that you wrote in 2019? My review for NOS4A2 was fun to write. I loved the book and I was happy to share my excitement and encourage others to read it, as well.
03) Best discussion/non-review post you had on your blog? My review of Rachel Caine's Wolfhunter River received a lot of praise and was shared by Caine on her Twitter page. I loved discussing her Stillhouse Lake series and how it has changed the thriller game in the past few years.
04) Best event that you participated in (author signings, festivals, virtual events, memes, etc.)? That would have to be Boston Fan Expo this past August. I attended this year with my best friend, who is also a comic book fan. We had a great deal of fun and I met several celebrities and artists and writers. For a smaller event, it was packed with amazing vendors with excellent prices.
05) Best moment of bookish/blogging life in 2019? Discovering the Doctor Sleep film. It was a scary-good time. And it was one of the more faithful adaptions of a novel that I have seen in a long time. It, unfortunately, it was released at the wrong time during the year and was overshadowed by other films. The acting was excellent, the directing very scary and filled with beautiful imagery. Rebecca Fergusen as Rose the Hat was one of the best performances I have seen by any actor in a horror movie.
06) Most challenging thing about blogging or your reading life this year? I was unable to stay on course with my challenges due to the crazy amount of awesome books that I discovered.
07) Most popular posts this year on your blog (whether it be by comments or views)? My review for Wolfhunter River was the most-read article on my blog, followed by my 2019 Reading Challenge.
08) Post you wished got a little more love? The posts written during the holidays could have had more love.
09) Best bookish discovery (book related sites, book stores, etc.)? Tabbing the books I read with flags for every 100 pages of the book. This gave me a visual goal to achieve with every novel.
10) Did you complete any reading challenges or goals that you had set for yourself at the beginning of this year? I completed my Goodreads Challenge and have almost finished my 2019 Challenge.
Looking Ahead
01) One book you didn’t get to in 2019, but will be your number one priority in 2020? A Wedding in December by Sarah Morgan
02) Book you are most anticipating for 2020? Lisa Gardner's latest novel.
03) What 2019 debut are you most anticipating? I am not sure as of this writing.
04) Series ending/a sequel you are most anticipating in 2020? The next Flora Dane book by Lisa Gardner also teams her up with Detective D.D. Warren and FBI Agent Kimberly Quincy, which brings 3 series together.
05) One thing you hope to accomplish or do in your reading/blogging life in 2020? Keep a more consistent schedule.
06) A 2019 release you’ve already read & recommend to everyone (if applicable): I have not read any 2020 books yet.
